Don’t forget to bring...

  • Theme costume for one member of each patrol.  Judging will be at Campfire. And yes, more than one per patrol is ok too.

  • Skit for Campfire.

  • Ingredients for cooking competition which is focused this year on backcountry cooking.  Registration will know where the bear bag line is located for you scouts to hang there meal and gear.

  • Ingredients for the Scoutmaster Cook Off - anything resembling Road Kill is great!

  • Bug repellant

  • Some money for trading post

  • For each patrol - two note cards and pens/pencils for the Semaphore station

  • Knot ropes for the emergency shelter station

  • For bear bagging a food sack (I carry a 13 liter nylon sack for person use), 40-50 feet of line (paracord is great) and a carabiner (key chain quality - not climbing)

  • For archery, batting gloves (thin, tight fitting) are helpful if you have them.

  • As always there will be lot of running around so think about your choice of footwear.  For most folks, sneakers are best.
  • Uniforms for morning flag ceremonies.
  • Patrol flag and yell
  • Something to brand
  • A story to tell. Mountain Men were notorious for their stories, true and tall tales alike. Come prepared to tell a tale.  1-2 minutes is about right. This is available to adults and youth. We will ask that a selection of the stories be retold at campfire.
  • Permission slip and make sure your health forms are current.
